The ISO 9000 series Standards is an internationally recognised quality management system requirement developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). ISO9001, the most comprehensive Standard in the ISO 9000 series, covers design, manufacturing, installation and servicing systems.

Quin began the registration process in 1998. This involved an independent consultant who, over a 12-month period, worked alongside Quin to prepare for and successfully achieve the rigorous standards necessary to become a UL Registered Firm. Following a full on-site examination of documented procedures and overall operations by UL, Quin were awarded ISO9001. In 2003 Quin successfully upgraded from ISO9001:1994 to the new ISO9001:2000 standard. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001, UL will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of Quin's operations.
