New End of Line Packaging Solutions
Casepacker
Look at any automated production line in the food and pharmaceutical industries and you're likely to find one operation that is still carried out manually: case packing. Quin's new Casepacker readily achieves 100 cycles / minute, putting it far ahead of filling machines or packaging machinery in conventional solutions. Features include:
- High speed case filling - up to 100 case layers/minute
- Outstanding return on investment - typically around 12 months
- Simple to operate & set-up for different products and case sizes
- Compact - fits into existing hand packing space
- Low maintenance, easy to integrate, and can be used with any case erector
- Based upon unique Quin Rtheta™ technology

Introducing the new Versapack
Quin Systems Ltd and Endoline Machinery Ltd have extended their co-operation by developing the new Versapack combined case erecting and packing machine, which incorporates the features of two established and successful machine ranges to produce a machine that is unique in terms of its capability. The principle of Versapack is simple - an Endoline 220 series case erector frame is used to mount the picking head and product feed conveyor, which results in an extremely compact footprint. This has been possible due to the high speed of the Quin Rtheta™ picking head, thereby allowing a simpler and more compact product collating area to be used.
Solutions from Quin Packaging Solutions - new for 2008
New LinMot linear motor products for 2008
Quin Systems is the exclusive supplier of the LinMot range in the UK.
LinMot linear motors are a family of highly dynamic electro-magnetic
direct drives. With acceleration rates of over 200 m/s² and a peak
force of 580N, there is a wide range of motors to choose from.
Fully integrated position sensors and bearings, combined with sealed
industrial construction, make LinMot a novel industrial motion control
element.
Solutions from LinMot's revitalised 2008 catalogue are now available from Quin.

QManager
The QManager can manage and synchronise systems ranging from single drives to machines with 240 axes. It uses Servonet to link intelligent drives, organising, communicating and configuring from a central program, monitoring and interacting while the machine is running. Incorporating a 10/100Mb/s Ethernet connection, along with Profibus, Devicenet and Canopen.
There are also up to 16 inputs and 8 outputs for direct digital I/O connections. An additional CANbus port manages additional analogue & encoder inputs. Supplied with Quin Windows based software, as the QControl 4. Optional software includes the PTS Scope, which offers machine diagnostics in real time plus analysers, and can be operated over an Internet connection.

New QDrive
The new QDrive combines a digital servo drive, with a programmable motion controller, capable of controlling any AC brushless servo motor. The range starts at a low cost 4A Single phase version up to 400V Three phase 50A continuous rating. Comes with 16/8 digital I/O + 2 analogue.
This unit brings true motion control to small applications, or where three phase supplies are not available. Standard features include high performance processing core, offering 1ms servo update, an EMC filter, soft-start circuitry, resolver feedback and CANbus interface. Encoder, Hiperface, EnDat feedback is an option. Set up and tuning is done via the Quin Windows based software. Ideal for Registration / Tension Control.
